Key Objectives

  • Director- F&B is a member of the Executive Committee of the resort, reporting to General Manager with all responsibility of all F&B operations and managing a multicultural team of 70 staff.

Requirements / Qualification

  • Should have at least 2 years\' experience in similar role of Director- Food & Beverage
  • Must be ready for relocation on single status
  • Prior experience in private island resort operations will be preferred
  • Must be fluent in English and fluency in any other European language will be an advantage
  • Should be computer literate -well versed with all MS- Office packages, OPERA
  • Must be passionate to train the F&B team
  • Must have experience of working with Multi-cultural team and international hospitality brands

Key duties / Responsibilities

  • To ensure that all the guests are met during the time of arrival and align our services as per SLH &Velassaru Maldives standards
  • To prepare the budget of the financial year and get it approved by the General Manager
  • Personally, ensure compliance with all relevant Workplace Health & Safety and Occupational Health & Safety legislation
  • Provide a professional, advisory and executive support service to the General Manager to assist in meeting the strategic goals of the establishment
  • Manages costs of beverages, consumables and assist with the food cost management
  • Coordinate Hotel wine lists, offering choice and variety as well as price consistency throughout the Outlets
  • Resolving guest complaints to the guest’s satisfaction within your level of authority
