Develop and execute a fully integrated communications plan based on commercial objectives and aligned with sales plan including PR and Marketing Communications, E-Commerce and Social Media – paid, owned and earned channels.
To develop a strategic media plan for the properties based on available budget and target demographics/markets/segments
Maintain and direct all third party related agencies as per the resorts’ requirements.
Manage an effective e-communications strategy with the client base to support the overall business objectives.
Identify potential sponsorship and promotional opportunities for each resort and manage the strategic business alliance and relationships.
Monitor industry trends and keep senior managers apprised of relevant news, brand perceptions and any potential issues that would have a positive or negative impact on our business.
Liaise and communicate regularly with head office PR and Marcoms teams to ensure that all specific resort requirements are being effectively communicated.
Corporate Social Responsibility – with the support of the corporate office, developing and executing the CSR strategy for the properties, based on the brand’s overall CSR strategy.
Development of promotional campaigns (awareness, teaser campaigns) and material that build awareness for the brand, and help grow existing customers across key markets.
Write interesting, impactful and effective press releases; prepare information for media kits and related materials.
Oversee crisis communications at property level in conjunction with Area DOSM and Corporate PR Team.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with local and international media.
Maintain accurate analysis and tracking on PR campaign performance, business results and associated action planning
Conduct market research on competitor hotel brands within the industry which are seen as relevant and delivering competitive advantage to the brand.
Oversee the execution of branded collateral – recommend new collateral and updates to existing collateral as appropriate.
Execute all photography requirements and maintain image library.
To maintain and control all below the line operational material.
Review and update website content and oversee content management.
Co-ordinate all media familiarisations and VIP/key influencer visits to the properties including developing a tailored itinerary designed to surprise and delight media showcasing the properties’ USPs, to host media, follow up and log visits and monitor for coverage, briefing operations on all media visits, media giveaways/gifts.
Pitching and coordinating interviews with hotel spokespeople (GM, Executive Chef, Spa Manager, HODs) including preparing briefings, media training, drafting Q&As, escorting interviews.
Ensure all copywriting/speech writing/editing copy tailored to different audiences/channels.
Monitoring all reviews of properties by guests/media – drafting responses on behalf of GMs as and when required.
Brand guardian – responsible for ensuring all brand guidelines are met and for developing brand guidelines for the hotels. Responsible for ensuring all departments follow the brand guidelines, including HR for internal communications.
Awards – to be included in PR calendar - responsible for all submissions on behalf of the hotel for major awards, including interviewing colleagues and drafting nominations.
Internal communications – updating team members on all PR and Marketing activity, sharing media coverage, upholding social media policies etc.
Monitoring all coverage and maintaining clipping library.
Responsible for developing and maintaining the hotels’ social media networks including Facebook and Twitter - including compilation of a content calendar as required by the corporate office.
Monitoring social media networks 24/7 to enhance guest relations and to help surprise and delight guests and monitor issues.
Assist in the development and management of PR and marketing budget for the hotels including developing and implementing budget controls.
PR support for travel trade and consumer shows where directed.
Other duties expected of an ‘on property’ team member including regular Duty Manager responsibilities.
Responsible for the co-ordination & management of PR agencies in key source markets. Driving PR activities, achieving PR exposure, partnership marketing, media relations and growing and developing a loyal stakeholder including guests, partners & media.
